Johnny Kula

Co-Owner

Johnny started his hockey career as a kid and played a ton of street hockey.  His time playing on ice was short lived as he got into skating pretty late in the game.  Right out of high school he enlisted into the US Air Force, worked in Military Intelligence, and built & fixed classified computer systems.  When his enlistment was up, he worked in IT for over 15 years.  He has owned and operated companies across multiple industries and is the founder of America’s Fallen Heroes and Fallen Heroes Hockey.  Johnny built an amazing organization that gives back to families of Fallen Heroes.  His hockey club helps raise money by playing in the league, in charity games, and in charity tournaments.  He is currently serving in the Army and plays on a few Fallen Heroes teams and for the Massachusetts Army National Guard Redlegs, where he won two international championships back to back in Las Vegas (2017 & 2018).  When he is not on the ice, you can find him at TC’s Training Center in Billerica.  He also coaches U8 & U10 youth hockey.

Dave Weare

VP, Hockey Operations

Dave was raised in Derry, NH where he attended Pinkerton Academy. He joined Power Play Hockey League in 2016. This was the first time he ever skated in an organized hockey game or league. His love and passion for the game brought him to PPHL. Coming into this league as a player and growing into the organization is what helped him bring new and innovative ideas to the league. This mindset, along with input from other players in the league, are what has helped PPHL continue growing into New England's Premier hockey program.  Dave currently runs our Scheduling and is instrumental as the manager of the Southern New Hampshire Divisions.

Jarred Mitrano

Supervisor, Officials & Scorekeepers | Director, PPHL Dept of Player Safety

Phone: (603) 858 - 4090

The PPHL and Jarred signed a Contract the day his business, Seacoast Hockey Officials (S.H.O.) was founded in September of 2017. The Contract was signed to have Jarred become the Assignor and Supervisor of the Officials for the PPHL. Since late 2017, S.H.O. has grown rapidly by numbers and services being provided. The rapid growth in one year gave Jarred additional roles and changed his title in the PPHL to -'Supervisor of Officials & Scorekeepers'. Moving into another year, 2019 brought on more responsibilities; the PPHL created the new Department of Player Safety, and was in search of an outside entity to oversee. S.H.O. was first in mind and Jarred was hired as the first ever, PPHL Director of Player Safety. Today, Jarred is now the PPHL Supervisor of Officials & Scorekeepers and Director of the Department of Player Safety

Jarred was on skates by age 3 and played through various 'Select' youth programs before attending high school at St. John's Prep (Danvers, MA) and finishing his hockey career at Niagara University (Niagara Falls, NY) in 2014. Since graduating,  Jarred has rapidly moved through the officiating ranks - from USA Youth Hockey into the Junior levels, through the NCAA, to the Professional ranks. August 2018, Jarred was selected among 14 Professional Officials in North America to officiate the NHL Rookie Prospect Tournament in Traverse City, Michigan. The prestigious NHL tournament is hosted annually by the Detroit Red Wings and invites seven other NHL franchises to display and scout their drafted prospect players and already NHL rostered players.

Jarred continues to work high level games while operating his business - Seacoast Hockey Officials, and serves as a District Supervisor in the State of Massachusetts for the Mass Officiating Program (US Hockey Officiating Development Satellite Program). Between Jarred's playing and officiating experiences, the PPHL was glad to add his company's services to better the officiating and player safety in all PPHL events.
